Conservative opportunities for OSBE – 2014

The following positions for Ohio State Board of Education will be available for election/re-election in 2014.  Prayerfully consider if the Lord would have you to run for the SBE and contact Ohioans for Educational Freedom, a Political Action Committee that coordinates election campaigns for the State Board of Education. They have helped elect five members and assist in appointing one member to this important board.

District 2 – Erie, part of Fulton, Huron, Lorain, Lucas, Wood
District 3 – Most of Butler, part of Darke, Miami, Montgomery, and Preble
District 4 – Small part of Butler, Hamilton, Warren
District 7 – Ashtabula, Geauga, Portage, part of Summit, Trumbull and part of Lake
District 10 – Adams, Brown, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Fayette, Gallia, Greene, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Madison, part of Pickaway, Pike, Ross, Scioto, and most of Vinton
At Large – Four At-Large seats will  be available for the governor-elect to appoint!
In 1995, Gov. Voinovich requested the General Assembly change the Ohio Revised Code to reflect a “hybrid” board of mostly elected and partially appointed by gov. It was all elected, previously. The General Assembly complied and since it has been eleven elected and eight appointed
